چکیده
The lumbosacral region of the spine is most susceptible to pathology in large breed dogs. common pathologies this segment include intervertebral disk discopathy, distortion vertebral vertebrae, narrowing canal and congenital defects spine. This area commonly affected by physical trauma or aging-related conditions leading a wide range symptoms, such as pain loss mobility.

Syringomyelia: An emerging spinal disease in dogs
Introduction Numerous diseases can result in signs of spinal cord dysfunction (LeCouteur et al., 1995). Included in this group of diseases are those, such as intervertebral disc disease, that compress or distort the cord from an extradural location and those diseases that arise from within the spinal cord parenchyma itself. With the advent of newer spinal imaging modalities, the ability to ‘see...

Objective: To evaluate the efficiency of ultrasound for diagnosis of different gastro-intestinal surgical affections in dogs and cats. Design: Clinical study. Animals: 36 dogs and 20 cats. Procedures: Ultrasonography was performed using two real-time ultrasound machines. The entire abdomen was examined ultrasonographically while the animal was in dorsal recumbency. Percutaneous ultrasound-gu...
متن کاملFusobacterium necrophorum: most prevalent pathogen in peritonsillar abscess in Denmark.
BACKGROUND Group A streptococci are commonly regarded as the most prevalent cause of acute bacterial tonsillitis and peritonsillar abscess (PTA). However, the majority of PTA aspirates also contain strains of anaerobes, and accumulating evidence indicates that Fusobacterium necrophorum (FN) could be involved in acute tonsillitis. The purpose of the present study was to describe the epidemiology...
متن کاملMOLECULAR IDENTIFICATION OF THE MOST PREVALENT MUTATION OF GLUCOSE-6-PHOSPHATE DEHYDROGENASE (G6PD) GENE IN DEFICIENT PATIENTS IN GILAN PROVINCE
Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase (G6PD) is a cytosolic enzyme which its main function is to produce NADPH in the red blood cells by controlling the step from Glucose-6-Phosphate to 6-Phospho gluconate in the pentose phosphate pathway. G6PD deficiency is the most common X-chromosome linked hereditary enzymopathy in the world, that result in reduced enzyme activity and more than 125 different mu...
متن کاملMolecular Identification of the Most Prevalent Mutations of Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase (G6PD) in Fars and Isfahan of Iran
Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) in humans is in X-linked disorder, housekeeping enzyme and vital for the survival of every cell. It catalyses the oxidation of glucose-6-phosphate to 6-phospho Gluconat in the first committed step of the pentose phosphate pathway, which provides cells with pentoses and reducing power in the form of NADPH. NADPH is required to protect the cells against ox...
